Today is December 21, 4 days before Christmas and the supply boat arrived in the morning. The anchorage is jam packed with cruisers’ boats from all over the Tuamotus with the sole purpose of stocking up for the next month or so.

At the dock, there were dozens of cars and many locals and cruisers waiting outside the supermarket. Workers were busily unloading boxes from the ship. Through an agent, we have ordered quite a lot of vegetables, fruit and wine from Tahiti, and we collected the boxes at the dock. We also got a brand new washing machine and 2 new Stand up paddle boards (our old ones kept leaking).

The supermarket is quite small and it was packed with shoppers. My friends and I kept walking up and down the aisle to see if there’s anything we can possibly buy on the half empty shelves. Slowly the staff brought out apples, oranges, bananas, pineapples, pamplemousse, kiwi, grapes, green beans, potatoes, garlic, onions, pumpkins and sweet potatoes. That's all the vegetables and fruit. Most of the items were gone within few minutes. We finally got a bunch of green bananas! How exciting!
