Last year we spent Christmas iwith a dozen plus ARC family boats in Bequia, a popular Caribbean island. It was very festive and busy. This year is quite different. We were in the middle of nowhere in the Tuamotus. The island of Toau only has 9 residents. There are no shops, beach bars or restaurants, No mobile reception. There were only six boats in this massive bay, three of them we knew (Dragonfly, 6&1/2 and Kissanga).

Christmas Eve - Lots of wrapped presents next to the coral Christmas tree. Tidied up boat to make it look nice. We had a family dinner with lobster bisque, smoked turkey, ratatouille and rice pilaf. Girls were super excited about opening up presents early on Christmas Day!

Christmas Day - Girls woke up at 5. Lots of commotion and we got out of bed to go open Christmas presents.  Very happy children. Afterwards we were invited to 6&1/2 for champagne and coffee. For lunch we invited everyone over for leftover turkey, salads and rice. Grant went kiting for three hours. Sunset walks with the moms on the beach together with Lee and Azania. Picked lots of corals and shells.

Christmas Eve (also Luca's birthday) - Pedal boarding with Grant and Azania in the morning. Saw a family of stingrays - one parent and two little ones. All boats came to our flybridge for movie night, sushi and birthday cakes. Grant buys a lot of toys, but this one I love. He bought an amazing Nebula movie projector and we've been watching movies on the flybridge when there's no wind. We watched Avatar II.
