Our last stop in Fiji - Port Denarau. Despite numerous requests for berth at Port Denarau, we were told none was available. Never taking no for an answer, Grant went to the marina office and somehow talked himself into getting a berth amongst the super yachts. Such talent!!! All of a sudden, our big catamaran appears tiny next to these giant super yachts. Pretty cool though.
While on dock, we did massive spring cleaning in preparation of our passage for Australia which has some of the world's strictest biosecurity rules. Anyways, it was a good exercise removing clutter and giving away stuff we no longer need. Also made me realise how I went OTT with provisioning. With our stock, we could easily open a spice and condiments shop!
Grant and Liam were busy doing boat jobs and fixing things.
Work aside, we also managed to do fun things like going to the waterpark with kids, golf for the guys and Barbie movie outing for the girls.
Azania and Vera (from Magic Dragon) have been spending so much time together and having a lot of fun. So sweet but sad when they had to say goodbye.
Our favourite Slovenian friends Blaz and Masa (SV Six and Half) sailed fast to come meet us in Port Denarau before our departure. We haven't seen them since February and it's nice to see their family again. Had a lovely dinner catching up with them and Magic Dragon.
Last bit of drama before we departed... Arabella and Azania were both sick with high fever. Fortunately fever gone after two days and they were feeling better as we set sail.
It's been a hectic two months traveling through Fiji and we loved it though it was way too short. We loved the beautiful natural environment and the remote villages, the abundant sea life, the kiting and the surfing, and most of all the super friendly and kind Fijians. Bula Vinaka!
