One of the reasons to sail around the world is to see the world and all its amazing places. Our journey so far has taken us from Turkey, through Greece, Italy, France and Spain before exploring the Caribbean sea. After crossing the Panama Canal we explored parts of the Pacific before arriving here. In Fakarava, Tuamotus, French Polynesia. Good luck googling it because you’ll need to zoom and zoom until you find this tiny place in the middle of the South Pacific. We have explored some of the most beautiful places in the world and each are different and amazing, however there is something very special about the Atols of the Tuamotus Islands. I am sure we are all different but I grew up on the beautiful lagoon of Knysna and the flat waters of a lagoon can be very soothing but when you make this water turquoise and add beautiful coral and sea life, not to mention the hundreds of Sharks always around you it makes it so unbelievably unique and special. For me this is the watersports mecca of the world and it’s fair to say I love my watersports.
Diving, swimming, snorkeling, kitesurfing, wing-foiling, SUPing, sea-bobbing, wakeboarding, wake-skating, dingy sailing and just plan jumping about like Azania loves the most. This place is heaven on Earth.
The photos are amazing yet still don’t tell the story! Enjoy.
