Our new friend Huseyin needed to leave us today to go and do policing work during the final round of football matches in the Turkish Footbal League.After all he is the Chief of Police in Ismir. Final day of the league and two teams could win. Besiktas were 2 points ahead going into the match and higher on goal difference. So a win or draw would get them over the line. Galatasaray were closest behind and needed a win and a hope. They won 3-1 but sadly for them the other wish didn't come through. Besiktas won 2-1 and won the league. So in Huseyin's honour we watched the final game league. We didn't understand a word of commentary but had a great time. Thank you Selim for hosting us on your boat.
