Stayed at Port Moselle Marina for the week.  Weather was spectacular with clear blue sky daily. A bit chilly for our lot though. We are not used to cold weather anymore.

Unfortunately everybody on our boat (except Apple) got sick this last week. Pretty nasty virus with high fevers, runny nose, sore throat and throbbing headaches. Took Grant to the clinic as he got painful sores on his hands and feet. Diagnosed as coxsackie virus, a.k.a. hand, foot and mouth disease typically affecting kids. Grant was the only kid on the boat who got the sores!

Wonderful marina with friendly staff and good facilities nearby (veggies and fruit market, fun fair, restaurant and pastries stands.  Nice to have delicious croissants and pastries for breakfast every day.  The girls enjoyed going to the fun fair for bumper cars, bouncy trampolines and cotton candies.

Explored downtown Noumea which is eerily void of life with many shuttered shops. There's a big fancy cruise ship terminal built for the cruise ship passengers, but we only saw one cruise ship docked for a day during the entire week. The neighbourhoods (near Baie des Citrons and Anse Vata) further south seem more affluent and lively with many restaurants, cafes and shops. Enjoyed a great lunch at Au petit cafe and delicious flower-shaped gelato at Amorino gelataria.

We found a weather window for Australia this coming Sunday. Check out process was a pain. Had to go to three different bureaus (immigration, customs and harbour master) which are miles away. Fortunately we have an electric scooter.
